HDH126 - Grimms Grimmest

Well unfortunately I have had a hectic week so didn't get my haunted design house piece done on time, which is to use one of the original brothers grimm tales, but have done so now...

I decided to go on the side of the wolf, he wasn't all bad just wanted a little snack.  He is using a protection spell against those seven EVIL little kids (did they want the wolf to starve?!)  Anyway this is using one of Ikes fabby wolf digis.

HDH125 - Can I quote you on that?

Another Monday another HDH challenge.  This week we are challenging you to use a quote as inspiration for something dark and creepy.

I used a Friedrich Nietzsche's quote "Is it better to out-monster the monster or be quietly devoured?"

Now as always the minions have come up with some wonderful stuff, so head on over for some inspiration if you are stuck.

HDH124 - Disney Villains

At Haunted Design House this week we are asking you to come up with something inspired by a Disney villain.

I chose Dr Facilier (the voodoo guy) from The Princess and the Frog.  I used his hat for inspiration and chose to make it come to life.  To make the hat I used an old cereal box and black tissue paper, marbles for eyes and then latex paint to give it a certain look and feel.

You will notice though that I forgot to paste out the bit inside the mouth where you can actually see the cereal image lmao (always something shoddy with me).

Go get your Disney movies out and get some inspiration.

HDH123 - Terrible Twos

Well it is that time of the week again, Macabre Monday time over at Haunted Design House.  The challenge is being sponsored this week by the lovely Megan from Silly Dilly Beans Stamps.   The challenge is called Terrible Twos and you are to use the same image twice on your project.

I decided to make a toxic cupcake (well let's face it with all the calories they possess they are quite toxic).

I used Skellie Girl from Silly Dilly Bean Stamps.  I got the box I had the cupcake cases in opened it up to make a template for my box and just traced around it etc.  I added one of Glos amazing skulls.  I put the smaller image on a skull stick and I used the larger image on the box plus I cut out a star (not very well) and added some tim holtz once upon a time alphabet dies to spell toxic and stickled it up red.  The flower on the top I made from various materials cut and then singed at the edges.

The cupcake has papaya, pineapple, dark and white chocolate pieces and craisins.  The topping has a rose essence buttercream.
