Merry Crimbo

I just wanted to say Merry Crimbo to you crazy bloggers.  I haven't had the chance to comment much lately as the kids have been catching every bug that has been going and Chris has put his back out more than once and Kieran split his eye open at school.  That aside I hope you all have a fabby Crimbo.

Silly Dilly Beans Snow Family Challenge

Now over at Silly Dilly Beans Megan is giving away an amazing snow family image if you participate int he challenge but I have only just been able to do it now and it ends in two days time eek.  Better get your skates on if you want this fabby image.  If not then you can purchase it from Silly Dilly Stamps.

I had to make something for my daughter's teachers.  I made three snowman soups, pictured below and added a few clay santa heads I made with a big red jingle bell.

For some reason blogger has now decided to turn any pic I upload sideways!!!!

Anyway I am entering this in to the Silly Dilly Beans Snow Family Challenge.

freaky friday challenge #18

This week at forever night challenges you are to create a grunge/distress project.  They have a fabby sponsor this week smeared n smudged

My creation is using two of my digis and creepy glowbuggs brains n skulls which come in lots of different colours and effects which can be purchased at her etsy shop here.

I tried to make it look a little cartoony with the green which I thought would make up for my lack of cardmaking skills but I think I would have to do a few more cartwheels than that haha!

I sploshed some ink and used a thin paintbrush to run it across the card.  I also used some tim holtz hobgoblin tape and some little gems which don't show up too well.  The flower at the bottom is stamped with a stampotique stamp heads.

Mermaid Baby

I have made a little merbaby and as usual the pics are terrible but I will post them anyways.

This little guy is just newly born and still has a lot of developing and growing to do.  I made him with sculpey and fimo and then added a silver acrylic wash to give him that sheen.

He is rested on some real shells and a blue glass bead for a pillow.

Freaky Friday Challenge #16

Well I haven't participated in a challenge for ages and last night I made a couple of brooches and thought one of them would be appropriate for the challenge before I stick it in my etsy shop.

This brooch will be entered in to the forever nights challenge which is evil, dark and creepy.  I haven't varnished him or anything yet.  The two red bits on either side of him are bite marks which the blood will be made shiny with glossy varnish.

Anyways hope everyone is well and I am still trying to comment on most of your blogs but still no luck and I never have the keep me signed in thing ticked so it isn't that.  Sometimes it does let me comment then sometimes only on certain blogs.

HDH113 - Heinously Haunted Houses

HAPPY HALLOWEEN

At Haunted Design House this week join us and make a dark, Gothic, or Halloween-based art piece that features a haunted house as the focus.  This IS Haunted Design House after all :) The more decrepit, deteriorating or disturbing... the better!

We are taking a break for the rest of the year but will be back all fresh and new at the start of next year.  There will still be the odd bit of creepiness on the Haunted Design House blog so keep checking just in case.

The Masterful Mistress Barb is also offering up a fabulous prize this week, pop on over to HDH to see a pick of the fab little bundle of creepiness.

I went with something a little different this week as I am all crafted out after our party.

You better watch out next time you think something has moved without knowing how it happened!! hehe.

I was extremely tired when doing this so please excuse any errors in grammar and spelling etc and of course the story itself is a bit well.... but you get my drift.

Anyways hope you all pop over and see what the minions have done.  Seriously as always they blow me away and then we have Glos to look forward to on Wed.

Happy Halloween again

My Sons Halloween Mask

Well after trying out the makeup I ordered some liquid latex and my son wanted to go as a skeleton for halloween so I had started work on a mask I got out of poundland and added some papier mache then added some latex then some fake blood.  I don't think he can wear it though as they will be having their party with the primary ones eeek.

It turned out pretty scary if I do say so myself it is even ickier in real life.

Below is what the mask looks like untouched.

Anyways how cool is liquid latex?

HDH112 - Movie Madness Pumpkinhead

Haunted Design House - Pumpkinhead

Alright so I hold my hands up to have never seen this film (I know hold my head in shame but I have never seen it around).  Anyway I watched a trailer on you tube and got the drift revenge, revenge and oh no I don't want that kind of revenge!

My pic in the middle is a pumpkin I made that had went bad just like pumpkinhead.  I got told it looks more like an alien than a pumpkin.  Also my four year old was bored so I gave it to her to decorate and she glittered it up big style.  Well below is a pic of my pumpkin gone bad:

Then I used one of the pics to turn it into a digi for this digial entry below.  I know I know piece of absolute bleep bleep haha but what can you do!!

You seriously need to go check out the work of the others.  Lynx has made the most amazing piece of jewellery and box and Teri drew another of her fab images and Susan has made another of her brilliant poems and last but not least Donna has produced another little beauty of a card.

Anyways close to halloween now yay!!

HDH111 - Lurid Landscapes

This week at Haunted Design House we are to create something with a lurid landscape.  Think abandoned fields, graveyards, lochs, etc.

My first one is a graveyard pic we took while down near Portsmouth but I can't remember the name of the church.  I just added a filter on it and added one of my digis with the famous line from Night of the Living Dead.

For my second I used a pic I found of the Necropolis in Glasgow and added another filter and used one of Teri's great images which didn't even need colouring.

I'm sure you guys can come up with some wonderously freaky stuff so get to it.

HDH Blog Candy Alert

Over at Haunted Design House we are nearing 500 followers so our very own Creepy Glowbugg is offering up an immense Halloween candy.  She also has two blog candies running on her own blog too.  Personally I think she must be a lottery winner haha but anywho how very kind of her and wait until you see the stuff she has on offer (makes my mouth water but then again I am probably clinically insane).

The first picture is the blog candy for Haunted Design House.

The second two pics are of her candy for her own blog.

Candy #1

Candy #2

You need to go to the relevant blogs to see the rules for being entered into the draw for the blog candy.

HDH109 - Gods and Monsters

This week at Haunted Design House you have to use gods and/or monsters in your project.  You can draw inspiration from the Gods or the Monsters of Greek Mythology. You can also go for the classic movie  Monster or some bizarre divination fromtales of long ago.

We have fantastic prize of $10 gift certificate for the charm barn

I have went for th Erinyes who in greek mythology were the avengers also known as the infernal goddesses wreaking vengeance.

I used an image from the grahpics fairy and one from inspyrestash stock.  Tweaked them digitally and voila.  They (the other furis looking on with great glee) led by the main goddess in the pic who is there to reap a bit of vengeance upon this sap.

More Miniatures

Warning there are a lot of pics with this post.  The reason the dolls house furniture keeps changing is my four year old keeps taking it back off me so I have to go and pilfer something else when she isn't looking then she confiscates the next bit haha. x

Told you a lot of pics.  I think the reason I am doing so many cakes is I have been on a diet for almost a month now haha x

dollhouse miniatures

This is my latest fad, thanks to Glo haha.  She said I should try it because I did a tiny pumpkin and boy she was right it is so much fun (did I really say that!).

Don't worry I haven't gone completely sappy!  I did make the necronomicon and the book of spells from hocus pocus but for some reason they don't want their picture taken.

HDH109 - INNER WORKINGS

This week at Haunted Design House the challenge is inner workings.  You are to create a dark, Gothic, or Halloween-based art piece that either is quite literal (clock works or guts) or just simply decorate the inside of your project as well as the outside.

I decided to do a mini zombie coming out of a shell.  So he is the inner workings.

Anyway I am still having problems on some blogs posting comments.  I want to say thanks Marlene for your very detailed help you are a star.

Anyway let us see what you guys can come up with and you should see what the design team have come up with, total genius.  Not to mention Creepy Glowbuggs on Wed!

HDH108 - You're Making a Scene!

This week at haunted design house we have an amazing sponsor whom I only just recently found due to our sponsorship.  Her images are just brilliant and I particularly love the little houses digis.  If you haven't already heard of Make It Crafty (what have you been hiding under the same rock as me!!), then I would highly recommend going and having a little look.

Well the challenge is that you are to create a dark, Gothic, or Halloween-based art piece
that depicts a Hallowe'en scene.

Below  I thought they made the cutest odd couple.  I used mini monstaz, frankie and medusa.  I also used the spooky house which I adore!!

I couldn't resist making a few shrink plastic versions and with a light flickering behind the spooky house it looks immense.  I am going to try to make a lantern with them.

Well go and check out the Make it Crafty website and the haunted design house to see the amazing design work and what amazing prize is on offer.
