Macabre Monday HDH078 - My Beloved Monster

Well this week at Haunted Design House the challenge is for you to create a beloved monster, monsters, in any size, shape, colour or form.

I drew a couple of monsters and had two hanging from the top of the page, these little guys have some appetite and do you see that pile of bones at the bottom! The big guy in the middle is sad cos the little guys polished off the last of the supplies...

The page is from the graphic fairy.  Can you tell by my post that I am still a little out of it, boy what a virus that was.  Hubby thought it was really funny to keep asking for chicken soup when he got it (man flu with nick frost).

There seriously is some eye popping delights from the design team this week so I would defo take a peek at their amazing stuff.

See post below for Stamp it Crazy Challenge

Simply Betty Challenges - All About Christian

Simply Betty Challenge - All about Christian

They challenge you to create a card, a page, anything using any Emo Christian image... Christmas, Everyday, Halloweenie, anything Christian! Pretty simple!

Now here is a suh-weet Prize Betty is putting up for this... One lucky winner, will be chosen to help them release their next line! You will be the very first (aside from Betty and the DT of course) to see the new line and choose two digis from that line to help them debut them on March 15th! It is an "Egg"-citing one! You won't be disappointed! So pull out those Christians and get to creating!

I chose to do a door plaque as my little guy is moving into his own room after sharing with his siter soon and the one he has at the moment is a bit babyish.  He is a bit of a dragon lover and I think that this little pet does resemble a dragon.
Good luck, have fun and please make sure link your creation by March 3rd at 10pm PST.

Simply Betty Valentine Blog Hop

Well Simply Betty Stamps has a new release and I was so super chuffed to be a part of this blog hop because these digis are my absolute fave.  You got it the steampunk are now valentine digis.  Well I have done two for this.  The first one is a digital and she is called Emma and is from the Valentine Steampunk digis and the second is a card with which I used the Grace Valentine Steampunk digi.

So the blog hop at Simply Betty Challenges:

The bat hearts are from the Grace Valentine Digi and the usual suspects are all adorable creatures from some of the other digis available from Simply Betty Stamps.

With this card I cut out a heart with purple cardstock from TAC (which Barb kindly sent me and it is fantastic quality).  I embossed it with silver embossing powder using a stamp that Barb also sent me from TAC.  The circle behind Grace is one of my own designs and the roses I made from old paper/card and spray painted it silver and touched it up with silver glitter.  The love you was from a card stack I had.

Make sure you end the hop at Simple Betty Challenges Blog and leave a comment to get in or a chance to win some of these Gorgoeus Steampunks.

Now you all know it's not an official hop until deals and prizes are given out right! Of course you do. So for the deals...

How about all Six New Steampunk Romance Digis for $18 used code VDSP18
or
3 New Steampunk Romance Digis for $9 use code VDSP09

And don't forget the First Steampunks are now available in rubber! Here are some discounts on those:

3 for $18 used code RUB318

6 for $35 use code Rub635

Simply Betty Challenges - Recycle those scraps!

This week at Simply Betty Challenges you have to pull out your old papers and recycle them onto a new card.

And the prize is Lola and London rubber stamps.

I thought what better than Freddy from the punky teens range at Simply Betty Stamps.  He can use those knifes etc to cut the scraps.  I have made this card a sorry for fighting (scrapping) card.  I so enjoyed colouring this guy, the punky teens are another of my absolute faves.  I only have two to get from that range now.

Hand Painted Furniture

I was going through my external hard drive and found some pics of hand painted mirrors and boxes etc. It was shortly after I started painting and had my first child, I painted a giraffe on his wardrobe. Then got some people asking if I would paint them something. So I did it for friends and family and thought that I might sell the stuff but I then proceeded to have two more children and that got left in the dust. So just thought I would share with you some of my first attempts at painting, I was a late starter.

This horse one below was for my niece who is horse crazy:

Below was for my middle daughter:

Below was for my Mum as she loves flower fairies:

This mickey mouse one was for a friend who had a little boy:

This was for my SIL's friend:

This one was just a mish mash of peter pan which my kids use for their dolls house to sit on:

Spitfire for a nephew (which I have been told is incorrect):

Below Peter Rabbit clock for my niece:

This one was for my second cousin:

The Simpsons one was for my kid's bathroom:

This one was for my nephew who is footie daft:

This was for my nephew called Jack:

 Below was for a niece:

Other side of above box:

This was for our friend who had a baby:

This Spongebob was for another nephew:

Below was the box for my niece before background painted:

Chair for my son (has been painted over as too babyish for him now):

This was for another niece and we sponsored a panda and put the documents inside with a little panda teddy:
This was for a friends little sister:

This was for an old work colleague's daughter:

This was for another niece which I had to rush hence the pathetic mirror mirror part.  That is an actual painting of my niece.

This was for my MIL (we filled it like a hamper), the main is her dog now and the other two were dogs she had:

And below was my very first attempt which was for my son's wardrobe when he was born.

This was the back side of the spongebob painted for my nephew.

A toybox for my son (he is a total space cadet)

Below is a clock for my cousin's litte girl:

The owl mirror was for my friend's baby.

And these last two were for our friend's daughters who both love westies.

My goodness if you have lasted even past the first one a big pat on the back.

Simon Says Challenge - Make your own embellishments

At Simon Says Challenge this week it is to make your own embellishments.  I always have a look at their challenges but never have really had a chance to enter but always want to.

Mine is a heart I made for my daughter who loves hearts and pink and everything girly.  I made these flowers out of recycled paper and added it to a large card heart.  I then spray painted it silver and touched it up with a pink stickles.

The prize if you win is $50, which is amazing.  So I suggest you go and get something done using your own handmade embellishments cos there sure is a lot of goodies in that Simon Says Store.

HDH076 - Love Bites

Over at Haunted Design House the challenge this week is Love Bites.  Romance is dead, and we want to see that in your artwork.

Now I chose to make a vampire teeth brooch and have blood drips dangling.  One of which says love bites and the other is a little ghostly face.  The tin was an old altoid mints one that I decorated with nail polish (yes I know it's supposed to be for your nails!).  I used a strange skins digi, the key for the tin.  They have some great horror images and other images for the less squeamish

Even though the vamps teeth have been removed, she still loves him and keeps them in a tin.

Below is the image that is inside one of the blood drips, originally it was to be a tear drop but for obvious reasons that didn't work but I love this little ghostly image so....

Below again is the vamp teeth brooch.
And below here is the tin with the strange skin digi swirly key which is only $4 to purchase and you can purchase a heart that they key is linked with.   There are a few sets like this but don't listen to me go have a peek.

Simply Betty Challenges - White Out

The challenge this week at Simply Betty Challenges is WHITE OUT! Your entire card must be white...designer paper, card stock, embellies, the works - with the exception of your colored image. Play along with us this week to win an Emo Rio rubber stamp and an Emo Miller rubber stamp! Betty is too awesome, isn't she?

As soon as I heard this challenge I had monster dude in my sights, I love this guy.  I coloured him using copics.  Used my cuttlebug with nesties to cut out some glittered card and then embossed the top one.  Put on some white furry stuff and used some patterend vellum with some glittery flowers.

Anyways hope you decide to play along and go and check out the design team's creations they are just gorgeous.

Macabre Monday HDH075 Flesh Eating Frenzy

Haunted Design House - HDH075 Flesh Eating Frenzy

Are you all suitably scared now, well you should be mwahahaha!

I was a real cop out this week and had to go for the easy option.  Can you believe these three kids of mine have been taking it in turn to catch a virus!  Well needless to say they just want Mummy so I had to try and do something that would be possible with a little un in one arm and the possibility of stopping to give another one a reassuring cuddle.  Supermum to the rescue (not).

Kentucky Fried Cannibal, anybody?  I really wanted to do a zombie entry boohoo.  Has anybody been watching Being Human this week they had a zombie girl and it was so funny (well I thought it was!).

Now don't judge this week's challenge on my entry please please go and visit the haunted design house blog to see the other design team's creations cos they are seriously outstandingly wicked.

Grumpy Valentine

I just did this one while sitting with my little un on my knee.  This is Grumpy Trina (I gave her as a freebie a while back) she can barely crack a smile (we even tried to raise some money to get her face unpuckered but it was unsuccessful).

This is her valentine to her one true love in two parts:
