HDH131 - Case a Minion

The Haunted Design House challenge this week is to case a minion.  That is use one of us guys for inspiration (eek).  Well mine is pretty easy, vampires or shrink plastic.  I  made a vampire repellent keychain using shrink plastic.  I just drew larger images of the ones you see, about three times the size then coloured them with promarkers or sharpies, shrunk them (duh really Andrea!), stuck them on a keychain and Bobs your uncle you have portable vampire repellent keychain.  You really would only need it for the vamps from 30 days of night cos let's face it those guys are freaking scary.

Well go check out the other minions and see what you can use for inspiration or just plain rip off hehe.

Merdad and Merbaby

This is my next thing for my etsy shop.  They are made with polymer clay and painted with metallic paint.  The gems at the side are a mix of robins nest dew drops and semi precious and polished stones.  The little shell that looks like a unicorn horn is from a beach near to us.  To be honest I am not pleased with his face, but as usual I rushed it after I did the tail.  I feel as if I can only have my craft stuff out for limited periods so tend to rush stuff but what the hoo.

Shellio

This is my latest little guy for my etsy shop.  He is made with a shell and living doll clay then I used an acrylic wash to give his face a little colour.

HDH130 - Eye Can See You!

This week for the Haunted Design House the challenge is Eye Can See You.  You can use eyes on your project or optical images or just however you interpret it.

I decided to do a bit of needle felting and needle felted an eyeball.  First I did it with the optical nerve hanging from it then decided to make it in to a flower.

The bottle I got at a craft shop and it says Dragon Blood (couldn't resist it).  Who knew it would make a good eyeball flower holder!!

So let's SEE (sorry) what you can come up with.

Anyways hope you all have a tops day whatever you are doing.

Smudgetastic Card - Heart Fairy

This is a card I made using my Heart Fairy digi that I drew for my little girl.  She loves hearts, faeries, mermaids, unicorns, horses blah blah girly girly girly which is great for  me cos I never did the girly thing, so I get to see both sides of the spectrum.

Anyways I thought by now I would have had a bit  more time but my little one refuses to go in to nursery without me so I am with her at nursery and since she started she has been having nightmares (which she never had before).  So we are all tired and grumpy and super moany haha the joys!

Oh and I hate this new blogger at the moment, don't know how to get the blogs I follow up.  yadayadayada.

Delicious Doodles - loads of layers

Who doesn't love Teri's images!  I am no different and love this image I have used voodoo woman from delicious doodles.  I think I might have overdone it but what the hoo.  I have already used this several times on my hubby today when he gets a bit cheeky as a warning hehe.  Now I have to get a voodoo doll just to back the threat up lmao.  The challenge at delicious doodles is to layer it up with flowers, papers etc.

Well I have a couple of sick kiddos at the moment so gotta get off, nothing major just little colds, sore throat etc.

HANDMADE FLOWERS = SORE FINGERS

Well the last few days have been overtaken by me making handmade flowers any minute I could get.  My poor little fingers don't know what the hell has happened they have been burned and jabbed and pushed and scraped.... you get the picture.

Well below are some pics of the flowers I have made.  I have had lots of material for ages and decided to get it out, cut it up, burn it, shape it and prod it with some brads (some of which I altered with liquid pearls and stickles).  These flowers are pretty basic but now I have the hang of them I am going to try out a few different things to fancy them up a bit more.

Be warned there are a lot of pics I got a bit carried away.

I told you I got carried away.  Anyway gotta go nurse my poor fingers haha.

HDH129 - Pirate Booty

This week over at Haunted Design House we are being sponsored by the amazing artist Teri from Delicious Doodles.  The theme is pirate related, think skulls, evil doers etc.

This week I went with Grace O'Malley.  I did a little booklet type thing which is in relation to her second marriage to Richard Burke whom after a year of marriage she waited until he was out of the castle got her people in closed it off then shouted out of the window "Richard Burke, I dismiss you", now personally I think this guy got off light as she could easily just have taken his poor little life.

You can read about her here and here.

The first page I used one of Teri's pirate map images and the second page I used Gothic Bride

Below I used Teris skull and crossbone image.

Well Teri is offering up four digis to the winner.  Everybody has at least one good pirate project in them especially for four amazing digis.  Teri also has a new zombie pirate digi coming out today.

Smudgy Antics - Anything Goes

This week at Smudgy Antics anything goes, yes that's right anything goes.

Smudgy antics challenge blog has an anything goes challenge this week (they are my faves)  I bought this monster image from smeared and smudged and loved it then came up with an idea for the kids that would be fun but also keep them straight.

I have made him in to a time out card and on the reverse I used a delicious doodles fabby skull image and placed some time out (tim holtz) words.

The kids love it but when I show it they stop being naughty cos they don't want the other side hehe.

This is the side that gets shown if they are being naughty for a warning.  The kids think it is so much fun, in fact my son goes and gets it so I have it whatever room I am in haha.

If they don't stop being naughty and this side gets shown they either lose points (which they can save and get a toy/game etc when they collect enough) or they get sent to bed for an hour.  Luckily it has never come to any of those as they are pretty well behaved children.

HDH128 - Homage to Hitchcock

This week for Macabre Monday at Haunted Design House we are paying a homage to Hitchcock movies.  You have to use one of his movies for inspiration.

Most of the minions have gone with The Birds movie but one of our minions has chosen a different movie, but you have to guess which one.

I did a painting of a bird stuck it on white paper with blood splats, added some black feathers while the ink was still wet to make them look icky.  I then put it in a frame and added three of my bird brain digis with blood on their beaks.

Now who doesn't love a good Hitchcock movie!

Anyways defo go check out the minions work and Glo's on Wednesday as she never fails to knock out a cracking little piece of art.

New Digis at Smudgetastic

I have put some new digis up on the blog.  They aren't showing on dashboard for some reason so thought I would pop some of them on here.  You know me so as usual they are a bit weird.

The digi blog is here.

Anyways I will hopefully get a chance to get something made with them soon as the kiddie winks go back to school.

Also just a little reminder that the challenge this month at the Smudger Challenge Blog is The Feast of Fools and the prize is the Jester Digi (which can be won using any image or thing created) or the handmade prize which can only be won by those using my digis.
