HDH148 - Bad Moon Rising

For Haunted Design House this week we want you to create a dark, Gothic, or Halloween-based art piece that depicts a BIG BAD MOON.Make it full, waxing, waning or crescent. Just make it big
and the main focus of your wonderfully wicked project.
Our sponsor this week is:

Deb is one of the wonderfully talented and sweet people I have had
the pleasure of working with and befriending here on the Internet. She creates the most
adorable hand drawn characters, and then prints them onto personalized
invites, banners, cupcake toppers, labels, business cards, etc.
Anything you may need for a party or celebration. Or for your business
or personal mailing needs.
She also has a CafePress shop where you can order all kinds of
schtuff with her images professionally printed on them. I personally can
attest to the quality of all of Debs items. I have pint glasses, an awesome apron,
labels, Xmas cards, business cards, magnets, etc.. all with Deb's wonderfully whimsical images beautifully emblazoned on them. Am I gushing? Did I also mention that
she has a Skull Cupcake line too? Yes, she is one of us, even if she is a bit on the
cuter side of the darkness.
Deb has generously offered up a $15 store credit to any of her shops.
If you can't wait to win the grand prize, she is also running a fabulous
Anniversary sale right now on her website and her Etsy shop.

I used Little Red from my digis and added bat wings.  I might just add bat wings to her and upload it to the digi site.  I also added porkchopsows bats and one of the moons available from his etsy shop.  The background I was going to make the moon but it didn't look as I wanted but I sprayed yellow cosmic shimmer and a light spraying of blue.  I also added glitter glue to the edges of the frame.  Little red is also finished with 3d gloss.

I was going to use this moon with Ike's Witchymou faded in to it but never got a chance to print it off.

Anyways what can you do with a big bad moon?

Mum's Birthday Card and Baby Card

It was my Mum's birthday today and this is the card I made for my Mum using one of my digis.  I thought I would put Queen Jean as her name is Jean and she would be thinking all soppy lmao.  She loves green too.

The inside is because well she is a little bit trumpy and not embarrassed by it at all and it rhymes with Queen Jean.

This is a face I sculpted with Sculpey living doll (I think).

And the card I made for one of the girls I know who had a little baby girl.

Vintage Elusions Cards and Crafts - Bling

It's challenge 3 over at Vintage Elusions Cards and Crafts and the challenge is bling + anything.  I made a card and an atc.

The card was made using an image I haven't put in the digi store yet.  I also used some jewellery for bling and some teardrop gems although the bottom ones are askew.  I really need to find out what glue everyone else uses cos I have tried loads of different types to no avail.

Below is my seahorse digi with lots and lots of glitter glue and sparkly shells.

Anyway that is my offering for the challenge.  There are so many challenges I want to enter but have literally no time at all.

HDH147 - Who are you calling a Succubus!

At Haunted Design House this week you are to create a dark, Gothic, or Halloween-based art piece that depicts a Succubus in one form or another.  Just what is a Succubus you may ask?
In folklore traced back to medieval legend, a succubus (plural succubi) is a female demon or supernatural being appearing in dreams, who takes the form of a human woman in order to seduce men, usually through sexual intercourse. The male counterpart is the incubus. Religious traditions hold that repeated intercourse with a succubus may result in the deterioration of health or even death.
In modern fictional representations, a succubus may or may not appear in dreams and is often depicted as a highly attractive seductress or enchantress; whereas, in the past, succubi were generally depicted as frightening and demonic.
Now ya know!

Yup that is right our sponsor this week is Kenny K

Kenny K has generously offered up 2 digis of choice to each
of the chosen Gruesome Twosome.

I used Atlantea and it doesn't look like it but it took me hours to colour her digitally.  My children all know my favourite colour is deep dark glorious RED but I am terrible at colouring with it.

An Incubus is the Succubus in male form.

Anyways who doesn't want to win two free digi image from Kenny K!!!  Well get your thinking caps on think seduction to the mans destruction.

HDH146 - Hiding in the Corners Part 2

Well I have another creation for the haunted design house challenge - hiding in the corners.  I was supposed to post it yesterday but got distracted with clay.

This time I used Witchymou from Ike's Art.  Now both our girls Ike and Teri have lots of amazing images.  If you ever need to visit them then I have links on the sidebar or just click their names above.

I used recycled cardstock and one of my sons old power rangers trading cards, painted it black and added tulle and organza which I burned with a lighter.  I got some cracking ribbon (the red stuff) when we went to Kirkcudbright.  I painted Witchymou with watercolours and added some of my crazy clay stuff to the corners, an eye a rose with maggots, a maggot with blood inside and  a skeleton handprint.

Now don't forget we have a brilliant sponsor Stitchy Bear this week who also stock our lovely (when I say lovely I mean evil and macabre mwahaha) Ike and Teris images amongst many other brill images too.

HDH146 - Hiding in the Corners

For the Haunted Design House Challenge you are to create a dark, Gothic, or Halloween-based art piece
that is obviously adorned in the corners.
It doesn't matter if it's an ATC, a painting, or a 3D project.
It must have something lurking in or on it's corners.

This week we are sponsored by Stitchy Bear Digital Stamps.

I used one of Teri's images from Delicious Doodles or Stichy Bear Stamps of a dark mermaid to make my very first ATC.  I don't really know much about them except you use a trading card size.  Glo made three using my images and they blew me away, so I defo wanted to have a go and it was so much fun.
I am going to be back with something using Ike's images.

I used some brown cardstock and painted it with dark blue watercolour then added Twinkling H2O.  I coloured Teri's image with watercolours and added some twinkling h2os to give it shimmer. I know it is a bit tame for HDH but I have lost my dark mojo of late and have to go hunting for it to creep myself up again.  Although the mermaid is sitting with skulls to be fair that isn't exactly fru fru.

Do try and find the time to play along our generous sponsors this week are offering up a $10 store credit to the winner.

Handmade Teacups

These were the teacups I made for my 5 year old daughter and her friends when they came over for a play.  I made the tickets on the side using the freebie ticket from my digi site and added a cupcake with a smiley face at each side and the names on each cup.

The cups were made from an old cereal box then paper mached over and painted, then some sweets added to them.

Who says I don't do girly!!! I would do anything for my girls lmao.

Papelito Stamps Challenge 5 - Anything Goes

I have done a digital entry for the Papelito stamps challenge anything goes.  I used Marea Skulls and a Stephen King quote which I thought was apt to the image.

HDH145 - Photo Inspiration

This week at Haunted Design House we have a photo for you to use as inspiration.

Barb sent me this stamp a while back and I got this kraft cardstock when I was in Glasgow last week.  I am notoriously bad at stamping and even worse at cardmaking but I managed on my second attempt to stamp it okay.  The bottles at the bottom are from porkchopsow on etsy.  The skull is one of Creepy Glowbuggs and the flowers I made.

Anyways let's see what you can come up with.
