For a Friend

Over at Crafty Individuals the theme is for a friend.  I had these stamped up on shrink plastic for a few weeks but had no where to cut/colour/cook etc (from £150 pounds worth of goodies I won before Xmas on their facebook page).  I used the rabbits (I think it is Alice Palace).  The Crafty Individuals have some amazing rubber stamps not to mention other goodies.

I stamped them on shrink plastic with stazon and then coloured with promarkers.

Octopode Factory n Altered Alice - Hearts and Love

Well I got a chance to play along with the Octopode Factory and Altered Alice this week and their challenge is hearts and the other is romance in wonderland (hearts are romantic!!).  It is getting a bit easier as I now have a designated craft area but still have stuff in other rooms etc.

I made a hanging using Cheshire Cat and a heart I made from cardstock and stamped and embossed it etc.  I coloured the cat with promarkers and then added anita's 3d glaze and added crackle glaze to the hug sentiment.  I also added a flower I made from material.

HDH161 - Gruesome Guardians

This week at Haunted Design House for our fortnightly challenge we are doing Gruesome Guardians.

You are to create a dark, Gothic, or Hallowe'en based art piece
using gargoyles, gryphons, dragons, leprechauns, fairies, etc.

I chose to do a painting of a Troll who is also part Brownie (her mother was a troll and her father was a Brownie).  She is the guardian of the gruesome cakes.  These cakes are under guard from the fearsome witches who can use these gruesome cakes to conjur up some powerful spells.

Gruesome Cakes:

The work that the other minions have come up with so far is incredible so I suggest going over there for a peek and maybe giving them some adulation on their blogs and don't forget to tune back next Monday for the next installment of minion madness.

HDH159 - Famous Last Words

This week well two weeks the challenge at Haunted Design House is to create a dark, Gothic, or Hallowe'en based art piece using a famous last line from a favourite book, poem, or movie. Go even one better, and use a death bed confession
or last utterance. Ohhh, creepy, right?

Well we still don't have our garage converted so I have no craft stuff to make anything so I went digital AGAIN!  Eek.  I also didn't have access to any of my books or movies to see last lines of them so I had to go with the obvious.... THE END.

famous last words

Hope you can find the time to play along.

HDH158 - Freakers Free For All

We are back, that's right!  Haunted Design House is back in full wicked force.

Okay folks, same rules as last year, except we are making this
a bi-monthly/fortnightly challenge.
Now you have two weeks to participate in our Macabre Monday challenges!!!
Consider it our little gift to you for 2013.

Today's challenge is an easy one,
Freaker's Free for All

You are to create a dark, Gothic, or Hallowe'en based art piece
with no other limitations.
Anything goes!!!!

This week I have chosen to do a digital piece as we are getting our garage converted this month so I have not much access to craft stuff.  On the plus side when the garage is converted I will have my own space to craft to my heart's desire.

The image used is a Rick St Dennis MFA which can be purchased from his etsy shoppe here.

THE WALKING DEAD 2013 RICK ST DENNIS copy

I can't wait seriously for the next part of the third series of The Walking Dead.  I love it.  Luckily I got season 1 and 2 for my Christmas woohoo so am watching that at mo to tide me over.

Well come on easy peasy lemon pie give the dark side of crafting a little try.

Delicious Doodles - anything but a card

This week at Delicious Doodles the challenge is to create anything but a card.  Well that suits me just fine as I suck at cardmaking (majorly!).

I have made a crimbo ornament.  I used the skull wreath from the Delicious Doodles digi shop.  I coloured them red and green then edged the sides with a distress ink pad weathered wood I think.  I then put on my melting pot dipped it in, put it in the garage to cool down then cracked it and went over the top with tattered rose.  It doesn't show up well in the pic but in real life you can see all the cracks.

Anyway get your butt over to the delicious doodles digi shop and see some of the amazing images she draws.  Something for everyone be you cutesy or goth.

My kids all want a piece of me so I better go and tend to their needs 8 year old wants me to film his lego army, 5 year old wants me to make her a wishing stone and 3 year old just wants me haha.
