Skeletal Remains

Anything relating to skeletal remains e.g. skulls, skeletons and bones etc.

I made this ATC using the rock technique from Andy Skinner sheesh you think I would be bored with it already but NO!!!  I cut out the frame and covered it with 3d gloss.

 

I am halfway through this box that I have been working on with surprise, surprise the rock technique haha.

I love Lily's images they are so fun to colour and I love that she does lots of horror/Halloween stuff with her quirky style.

HDH164 - Bare Bones

The challenge this week at Haunted Design House is CAS (clean and simple), no embellishments!  Ahh hehe.

I used the Andy Skinner stone technique on a tin and added a steampunk image from the simply betty store and coloured her with copics/promarkers/spectrum noirs oh my!  I covered the image with 3d gloss.

 

 

 

The minions have made some wonderful inspiration for you so be sure to go leave them some love x

 

 

DT Throwdown Challenge No 2

It is time for the second challenge for the DT throwdown at 

Smeared and Smudged.

The theme for this challenge is to create a Faux Finish.

My project is called The Secrets of Dorian.  It started out as a little box which held a pair of earrings in it.  I covered it with Mod Podge to make the ink adhere.

 

Before I decided on the Dorian Gray theme I was going to use a Stampotique image so had used the image stamped on tissue paper.

 

 

Coloured it a little.

 

 

I used Crackle Accents on the main image:

 



 

At this point I changed my mind and thought it really isn't fancy enough so I went with the Dorian Gray theme.

 

I used a Steampunk Image from the Simply Betty Store.  I coloured him and then covered in Diamond Glaze except for his face and hands which I used Crackle Accents to have a withered look (looks better in real life!).  I also used some Papermania Photo Anchors and added orange gems.  The image was placed inside a charm from Crafty Individuals (3 different sizes for £1.35).   This stamp company is brilliant, not only do they deliver super speedy their stuff is quality and every time I have ordered I have always had a freebie selection of small rubber stamps.  (Not to mention I won £150 worth of goodies from them before Xmas).

 

 

I had a Tim Holtz key which says dreams on it so I thought this was very fitting as any normal life dreams Dorian would have had have been forever taken, hence the rip charm added.  The fly is to add to the rotting theme.

 

 

 

The other two participants for our team are Creepy Glowbugg and Menace of the Monstrous Mark aka Spesch Ink 

 

I would also like to enter this into the Simply Steampunk Challenges which is distressed.

HDH163 - Dante's 9 Circles

This week at Haunted Design House you have to take inspiration from Dante's 9 Circles. 

I have chosen Circle No 9 Treachery.  Yes and I painted Gollum the treacherous little hobbity type freak that he is. (I loves me some Gollum).

 

Well you can  choose from fraud, violence, anger, gluttony, lust, limbo or even treachery.

Delicious Doodles - Yellow

Well I rarely get a chance to enter the challenges these days but I made a point of entering this one.  I LOVE Teri's images and the Delicious Doodles challenge is Yellow as you probably guessed duh!.

I made an ATC a very YELLOW ATC, using the Voodoo Lady (one of my absolute favs) available in Teri's Digi Shop here.

HDH162 - Drop Dead Gorgeous

Over at Haunted Design House this week the challenge is titled Drop Dead Gorgeous, so this means that you can use anything undead.  I went for the Corpse Bride to base mine on but you could use vampires, zombies etc.

I painted her on a canvas using acrylics.  I made a frame of tendrils coming out of the darkness.  She actually isn't finished.  I haven't done her hair properly yet or shaded quite a lot of it but usually if I don't finish something on the first night, it NEVER gets finished.

 

Anyways let's see what creepiness is lurking in the recesses of your brain!

For a Friend

Over at Crafty Individuals the theme is for a friend.  I had these stamped up on shrink plastic for a few weeks but had no where to cut/colour/cook etc (from £150 pounds worth of goodies I won before Xmas on their facebook page).  I used the rabbits (I think it is Alice Palace).  The Crafty Individuals have some amazing rubber stamps not to mention other goodies.

 

I stamped them on shrink plastic with stazon and then coloured with promarkers.
