Smudger Challenge 6 - Reduce Reuse Recycle.

This month at the  smudger challenge blog we thought it would be good to do a recycle challenge.  Create anything with at least one recycled product used.

I have recently started doing some ATCs after seeing one of my blogging buddies cool cards.  Anyway my recycling is I used the packaging from the kids school shirts to make the ATCs.

All images used are from the smudgetastic digi site.

This ATC has a flame which has been done on shrink plastic and coloured with promarkers/copics.  The background for that is a nestie and I have put various inks and shimmers and mised them for a flame effect.

 

This guy has a stake and hammer at the side and a coffin that I made.

Anyway would be great if you could join in the challenge this month at Smudger Challenge Blog, we only had three entries last month boo hoo hoo, hehe.

Smudger Challenge 4 - Hearts

My daughter is obsessed with hearts, so this month the challenge is anything to do with hearts. I made a needlefelted heart with a clay face in to a brooch.

Smudger Challenge 3 - Skulls

It's the start of a new month and the start of a new challenge over at the Smudger Challenge Blog. I thought this month in keeping with the Skull Day of which there is a blog hop (link on my sidebar if you want to participate, courtesy of Smeared and Smudged with lots of prizes along the hop).

I have only half done my first project, which is using one of my daughters old dolls. I forgot to take a pic of her before I took the paint off her face.

I painted her in a sugar skull fashion and I have still to make her some suitable clothing and hair accessories. I shall post more pics throughout the month of my progress.

Smudger Challenge 2 - Tag You're It

Well this month for the Smudger Challenge Blog the challenge is to create a tag. Any type of tag at all (not much of a challenge really haha).

The prize is the digi from the tage I have used but if you use one of my images you could win a pumpkin pin cushion with a set of polymer pumpkin pins like the one pictured below.

Smudger Challenge 1 - The Feast of Fools

This is the first challenge at the smudger challenge blog so if you get a chance please play along.  You don't have to use one of my digis and can win a digi.  The challenge is:

Well this weekend sees the ritual of April's fool. The annual bout of japery has ancient roots going back to the 13th Century when King John tried to enter the town of Gotham to extract his taxes, only to be confronted by a medieval mob eating horse entrails and pretending to be mad but were probably just inebriated or suffering from magic mushroom enduced hallucinations, there wasn't much to do in 12th Century Nottinghamshire!

To celebrate the ancient custom, this months challenge is "The Feast of Fools." This could be anything you interpret it as. You could use a jester (like I have), a trick, whatever April Fool's means to you. There is also a movie called April Fool's Day which you could draw inspiration from.

My card is for my husband and April Fool's Day for us is our 8th Wedding Anniversary. We are both a couple of clowns so deemed it an appropriate day to tie the knot.

Well it is a monthly challenge.  If you get a chance I would love to see your creations on the smudger challenge blog.
